Herf Cigars is all about bringing people together over a fine smoke. We have searched far and wide to bring you the best tobacco. Why? Because a good cigar deserves the camaraderie of a fishing trip, a poker game or maybe even just watching the game with the boys. That’s why we named our cigars Herf Cigars.

What is a “herf”? A herf is a lively gathering of cigar smokers. The term has died out since its popularity over 50 years ago but we thought it was the perfect description of who we are as a company. Herf Cigars want to make having a cigar part of your life:

We grow Cuban seed tobacco in what is considered one of the richest soils in the world for growing cigar tobacco. This is certainly one of the reasons our cigars are so incredibly flavorful. And now, after all the experimenting, harvesting and aging: we’ve set up shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Herf Cigars makes Nicaraguan cigars that have been so exquisitely put together, we don’t think you can find a more impressive cigar for the price.

The two lines of Herf Cigars, Majestad and Olivia, are made with rare tobacco leaves organically grown within the beautiful Nicaraguan countryside. Each leaf is handpicked and aged by skilled craftsman trained in Cuba. The cigar aficionado will know by the flavors native to the Nicaraguan soil that the premium tobacco we use is not standard practice for cigar companies.
